Gravity

You’re pulling me nearby,

I can’t let go.

I recognize how much I love,

But I cannot face the truth.

You’re overwhelming,

I must bow out.

I see how much you love me,

But I can’t be here for you.

You’re not letting me be myself,

By depersonalizing me.

I hear your voice calling my name,

But I refuse to hear the words you speak.

You’re not loving me,

Smothering me with your heart.

I hear the door lock,

The key falling to the floor.
